Book a service call.

Pick a day, tell us what's going on, and we'll come to your boat. Your first hour is a flat $280 — that covers our travel to you (up to 30 minutes each way), setup, and the first hour of work. After that it's $140/hr billed in half-hour steps. No minimums.

Book online for basic service calls — diagnostics, repairs, and installs that take less than a day and don't need us to order parts.

Major upgrades and refits need parts sourced and ordered first, so those aren't bookable online. Call 516-448-6221 or email us and we'll scope it properly.

The boat

Where the boat actually is — this sets your travel and sales tax.

What's going on

Model numbers help a lot — the more you tell us, the better the odds we fix it in one trip.

We'll call to confirm the day and a time window — nothing is locked in until we talk.

What you're paying today

First hour — travel (up to 30 min each way) & setup included $280.00

The whole agreement is right here — no fine print anywhere else.

EVERYTHING IS TIME AND MATERIALS — never a fixed price. You pay for the actual work done. 1. THE RATES • First hour — travel (up to 30 min each way) + setup + first hour of work: $280.00 flat • Each hour after the first (billed in half-hour steps): $140/hr • Second technician, first hour (only if the job needs one): $160 • Second technician, each hour after: $80/hr • Shop / bench / admin / R&D time (off the boat, when needed): $125/hr • CAD / design for custom panels & helm layout (when needed): $140/hr Research, parts sourcing, and admin work done for your job is billable time at the rates above — it is not free, and it shows as its own line on your receipt. Some jobs need two sets of hands (big screens, tight spaces, heavy gear). We tell you before a second tech is added, and his time is its own line on your receipt. 2. TRAVEL • First 30 minutes each way: FREE — included in your first hour • Beyond 30 minutes each way: $40 per half hour, per technician Travel is timed door to door — from when we leave our shop to your boat, and the same on the way back. If extra travel applies, it is its own line on your receipt. 3. PARTS, MATERIALS & TAX • Parts & materials: cost + standard markup, itemized (we supply all parts) • Parts not billed on site: may be billed after, itemized the same way • New York sales tax (8.75%): applies to labor and parts 4. PAYMENT I authorize Long Island Marine Electronics to charge my card now for the first hour plus sales tax, to keep my card on file, and to charge that same card after the work is completed for the labor performed (including a second technician when added), travel, and parts and materials at cost plus markup — itemized on a final receipt emailed to me, including parts not billed on site. Credit cards carry a card processing fee equal to LIME's actual processing cost (about 3%), shown before I pay. Debit cards, Zelle, Venmo, cash, and check have no fee. 5. CANCELLATION If I cancel with less than 48 hours notice, or no one is available to provide access at the scheduled time, the first hour is non-refundable.

Card

Charged now for the first hour and kept on file for the balance. We never see or store your card number — it goes straight to Stripe.

We verify the card type when you book. If a card marked debit turns out to be credit, you'll see the corrected total and nothing is charged until you approve it. If a card marked credit is actually debit, you're simply charged the lower no-fee amount.

48 hours notice to reschedule without charge.
